Six Sentence Sunday

Bryce waved the torque wrench, then swung it at the Ford. It bounced off the quarter panel, leaving a dent in the fender he’d spent a week pounding and smoothing to perfection. The vibration ricocheted up his arm. He swung again. And again. The car screamed, pulled at his arms, trying to hold him off, but he couldn’t stop. The frustration had to get out. He hit metal, glass. The door frame, a side mirror, the windshield.

  1. The poor car! I don't blame it for fighting back.

  2. As a car lover, that's painful to read. I hope it's not a classic. :)

I love the sound of this book!

  5. Great detail; vivid scene. Who hasn't wanted to smack her car when it misbehaves? Good job in this scene.

  6. Thanks everyone for stopping by.

@Sarah Grimm - It is a classic car. I really didn't want to write the scene, but it was what had to happen.
@Taryn Kincaid - No kidding about gas. It jumped 20 cents in one day here. sheesh.

  7. Love this! It makes me wonder what's happened to cause him to react this way? A jealous fit? Heartbreak? Broken promise? This book is in my queue to read, as soon as I prep all my audiobook projects. Nice work!
