Goodwill Pile

After Christmas, we collected a huge pile of toys, clothes, furniture and other miscellaneous items to send to Goodwill. There was a lot of stuff and I was so excited to get this clutter out of the house. My husband loaded everything into the Suburban and it was gone.  Very cleansing.

In the past few weeks, I've noticed something.

As I've made treks into the basement or garage, I'm seeing items that I'm sure were in that pile. The back massager we never use, the lovably ugly chair with broken springs that I rescued from the side of the road intending to fix, and the lamp I was so tired of getting knocked over that I never wanted to see it again.

I'm beginning to wonder what actually made it to the donation center. Next time, I'll have to load the truck myself.

  1. That's funny. I Have tried so many times to send stuff to Goodwill and they just never make it. I always convince myself that I can use it, wear it, or recycle it again.

  2. I used to be terrible about keeping things. Probably my Dutch heritage. :-) Now the clutter is driving me nuts.
